I’ve had my Summer tablescape up since, well, early May. However, down here it’s been feeling like Summer since April!
Let’s take a look at my French country table setting:
French Country Table Setting |
The dried lavender is from my parents’ garden. Smells great!
My Mother made me these great placemats quite some time ago. I was putting the Easter green plates away and set one on top of these placemats, and, voila! Turns out the green looked really good on them!

The faux-lavender in the Anduze pot is from my favorite little store in St. Helena in Napa Valley.
I love this French country table setting. Don’t know when I’m going to take it down!!
Do you have any French country table settings to share?

Very Pretty…Love the chairs!
Thank you! I love my chairs so much too I went to go buy some more… and they stopped making them! No!!!
I don't do table settings but I have to tell you this is one of my favorite looks. I love the colors of french country.
Thank you for the compliment!
Your table looks lovely. I'm going to borrow the idea of using potted plants. Thanks for the inspiration.
I bet using fresh potted lavender would smell wonderful!
The placemats from your Mom are really beautiful and look great with the green plates. I too did a french inspired tablescape this week. What's that saying about great minds thinking alike? LOL
If I remember correctly, my Mom and I were eyeing placemats at the long-gone Pierre Deux and decided we could make our own for significantly cheaper!
Your French Country look is charming! I've got a couple of ideas up my sleeve for some Frenchy style later this summer, too. Great post.
Thank you!
Beautiful…love the placemats and the rabbit plates. Leave it up as long as you want! Looks great…
I probably will leave it up until Fall. Thanks for stopping by!
French country looks beautiful all year long. Gorgeous!

Lovely setting but I can't help but look at those wonderful chairs! And the mirror too… 🙂
My mirror almost didn't survive my cross-country move. There's now a crack in it. oh well.
Oh such a pretty setting. I love the placemats, they are fantastic. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me.

Love the green plates, so pretty! Your French country setting is perfect with the pretty place mats your mom made for you and yes, I love them with the green china. Your dining chairs are so elegant.

Thanks very much!!
The plates do look great with those place mats…
♥ the pots of lavender, I can almost smell it.
Have a great week, Angelina.
Thank you!!
Such a pretty table and you are so right. The green ooks great with those placemats. Thanks so much for joining the Dishing It & Digging It Link Party.
Thanks, Christine!
A beautiful peaceful setting, table not cluttered with too many dishes or glasses. The wall colour is very lovely, our open plan dining and living area is painted the same colour, it is a warm and excellent colour, very pleasing to the eye and it matches majority of the furniture. All French is so lovely, there is that 'ambiance' about it, it just makes me happy, the dishes, the garden, their homes and food. I love it! I need to view more!
Thank you – yes I like my table not too cluttered, although with a farmhouse table being so narrow it can make it hard sometimes! Thank you for the compliments!
