I’m changing Friday Favorites just a wee bit. Each week I’ll try to stick to general topics… some will always be the same, like “on the net”… which would have an interesting link that I found on the net. The “spotted” category would have something that I thought was cool that I spotted.

We went hiking this President’s Day Weekend. We crossed a stream using the fallen log (or you could have rock-hopped across but the water was high so we went with the log). We felt like the Oregon Trail pioneers going across the stream! Do you remember that computer game?

I shared this recipe for Buttermilk scones last year. These scones are *so good*. You don’t have to make them with currants. I like to make them plain too and put jam on them.
