In this post – using antique or vintage transfer ware for your every day table!
I put together this purple transferware table earlier this year and photographed it but then I forgot to post it! I had fun putting this table together.

I took down the antique purple transferware plates from the walls and enjoyed how the look with the grey of the table and chargers.
They also go great with my Juliska purple goblets!
I put these antique Staffordshire cows in the center of the table to complete the look.
Why store all of your antiques on the walls or in the display cabinets? Pull them out and use them!
These Staffordshire figures remind me of the white cows that Charles Faudree always decorated with!
When taking this picture, I realized the fabric on the antique Swedish chair goes with the purples on the plate and goblets!
A mixture of peonies and ranunculus sit in the center of the table. This is meant to be a simple table to show off the antiques.
Antique monogrammed napkins were at every place setting.
You can create a similar table too and use your transfer ware!
If you are going to dine on the transfer ware, I would suggest either using plastic utensils so you don’t scratch the plate or putting a clear glass plate on top.
I just love the look of the antique purple transferware.
I think it is a really interesting color.
Hope you all enjoyed my little table!

Love love this! I, too have a set of purple transfer ware in purple that I use at Easter. I love it with the staffordshire cows and gray table top. Very pretty!
thanks so much!! I think the purple transfer ware is my favorite color!
Love the purple transferware, but especially the darling cows. Great job of putting this table together. Thumbs Up!
Thanks very much, Sarah!1
Very nice rustic and simple table. Those are wonderful plates.
aww shucks, thanks!
Your table looks lovely, and the purple transferware is so unique and as you say looks really nice
with the table and chargers and purple glassware. Such cute cows, and my grandmother used to have a
lil lamb that looks like yours…..and that was probably 55-60 years ago. Cows and lambs very cute
addition.
Have a blessed day,
Nellie
You need to find that little lamb and set it out!
Very pretty dishes! Gorgeous flowers too!
Thanks! I miss peony season!
Collecting transfer ware is so addicting isn't it? But what a magnificent obsession! Your table looks lovely and those gorgeous peonies!
UM yes it is super addicting! It's like… what color shall I collect next???
So pretty, Angelina! I don't know that I've seen purple transfer ware before – it's gorgeous!
Yes for some reason it is not very popular in the decorating magazines and online – only the the blues, reds, and greens, but I don't know why because you can find the pretty purple one on eBay or in antique stores! I just love the color of it!
