A French country Christmas

Today we start off our tour at the fireplace.  Quimper stockings line the fireplace… and a stocking for our Chloé cat!

Instead of greenery on the mantel, this year the fireplace is lined with my Steiff snowman collection!  The one on the far right is new this year -stuffed him in my suitcase and hauled it back from Germany!

The bedroom is more French country… I love decorating with tartan and tartan bedding is my favorite!  The wool blanket is from Pendleton.

A pretty floral arrangement in Christmas colors brighten up the room!

Enjoyed? Yes, yes, yes! I have one of the darling French stockings from Pierre Deux. It was a gift from a dear friend and fellow Quimper collector. Seeing these all lined up across the mantel thrills my heart! How I wish I had the rooster stocking that Pierre Deux sold along with this design. I keep hoping I'll come across it somewhere.
Thanks for the tour of your gorgeous home all dressed for the holidays.

I remember that rooster stocking! I wish we bought more of them! Don't you miss Pierre Deux?? I was hoping someone else would buy the brand name and reopen stores, I keep on hoping… Thank you for your compliments!

beautiful! loving the Steiff snowman collection too. I had several steif bears and long ago I had to sell them when times were a bit tough. I kept my pink mohair Steif though. She is safe and sound in my memory chest. xo
