Remember earlier when I said I had the post-holiday blues?
I wasn’t kidding.
So this blue and white tablescape seemed appropriate for my mood.

I haven’t put together a blue and white table before, so this was nice and refreshing.
The china is Juliska Country Estate and Colette in blue.
The vases are filled with white roses, blue thistles, and variegated geranium leaves.
I really liked these blue thistle stems. Don’t they look cute in my little bud vase from Astier de Villate (hauled it from Paris!).
The table cloth is antique Point de Venise. We put the lace table cloth on top of some blue velvet fabric! It really allows you to appreciate the fine work on it!
Some antique cut glass candlesticks add glamour!
Oh, about the candles- they are no drip! When I burn them, they don’t make a big ol’ mess like my other candles. I found them at Home Goods.
I liked this picture from above- it shows the pretty table cloth!
Putting together this table, even though no one is coming over, has lifted my mood. The flowers are so pretty.
Do you ever set the table just for yourself?
What I like about the Juliska ceramic dinnerware is that they are microwave, oven, freezer, and dishwasher safe!

I love it all! The antique linens with the blue velvet really make a beautiful backdrop to the Juliska. Charming vase from Paris! Love the thistles and roses.

Thank you very much, Rosie!
Your table is beautiful. Love the blue velvet backdrop with the beautiful lace on top. The blue thistle is pretty in the vases and the one you brought back from France is sweet! I love Juliska dinnerware and other accessories they make. I don't own any dishes but have always admired them. I have dressed the dining table many times just for the fun of it. It's enjoyable and does lift the spirits!

Beautiful! I love the plates. Thanks for sharing at Home Sweet Home!
It's a beautiful table. I am a blue and white fan, and what you post is very interesting to me. Previously I did not think to set the table with a delft plates. But I got excited to do it. Apparently not only as a room decorator delft plate can also make the table look beautiful. If you are a delftware collector and want to see other delftware collections you can see at aronson.com/in-depth/the-blue-in-dutch-delftware as a reference.
