I posted the above picture on my Instagram and thought I would share the rest of these beautiful rooms! Maria Therese (Marie Antoinette’s Mother) suffered from the heat of the Summer so in the last decade of her life she had these garden rooms built on the ground floor of her palace to overlook the gardens.
Johann Wenzel Bergl painted the murals which included exotic landscapes and formal Baroque gardens. Today these are known as the Bergl rooms.
Schonbrunn Palace is located in Vienna, Austria.

Wow, I can’t imagine living in such an enormous group of rooms with all the walls painted in trellises and flowers. It’s beautiful but way to busy to be calming for me. Certainly something to see, though.

I think it was quite calming for her too!
Magnificent art work, most suitable for such large rooms. The details are superb, it looks almost like 3D work, and the fruit has so much detail, truly a work of art! Thank you for sharing, I can’t help wondering how many other beautiful treasures in the world are hidden?

I also wonder how many beautiful things there are in the world that I don’t know about! Learn something new every day!
I absolutely love all of the eye candy! I’d be totally happy in this environment and wish I could afford to have a muralist come in and paint something similar on my walls! Each to her own! I had to look this up, since it was not indicated where this palace is:
Schönbrunn Palace is a former imperial summer residence located in Vienna, Austria. The 1,441-room Baroque palace is one of the most important architectural, cultural, and historical monuments in the country.
Thanks Wikipedia!
