Last week we came back from our vacation to Switzerland and Italy. Whenever I head to Europe I like to take notice of the trends over there as I have found that they eventually make their way over here to the States.
Years ago, the trends seemed to take several years to hop over the pond but now with the internet and social media the trends have been arriving here faster than in years’ past!
These trends are coming straight from the fashion capital of the world, Milan!
Round, Flat Sunglasses with a Double Bridge
I don’t quite know the name of these sunglasses, hence the long name I came up for them. It seemed like *everyone* in Italy was wearing this style, both men and women. Of course I got on board and bought a pair!

Blue and Rose gold, Rayban, gold and blue,
Pink #2, Black Aviator, Pink Fendi,
Top Handle Handbags
It seemed that the most popular bags were bags with a handle on top – and most of the time they were structured bags but not always.

Blue Suits
Literally every single man in Milan was wearing a blue suit. Not navy blue. But BLUE. And he was wearing it with blue shoes, a blue tie and blue socks. Blue on blue on blue! EVERY ONE. It was shocking actually as to how many people were wearing it! Young men, old men and everyone in between! And they were wearing them with the sunglasses I mentioned above. I know this trend is coming to the USA since everyone was wearing it. Also, the suit pants are tailored quite short, to hit around the ankle so that we can all admire the blue socks. In fact, my husband bought a pair of blue dress shoes in Milan!
Scented Rooms
It seemed like every single store and hotel we walked into was scented heavily with fragrance. This was not just in Milan, but everywhere in Italy it seemed! I’ve included a few wonderful smelling fragrances for the home that will take you straight to the Mediterranean!
This inspired me to open up one of my reed diffusers which I had been saving for some time, which is the Prosecco one below. It was so refreshing to come from the outside and to walk inside these places!
