I have been on the search for the perfect water bottle for years. Here is my current collection of water bottles. My session started when Nalgenes became popular in the late 90s/early 2000s.
I love to have a water bottle nearby because I’m always thirsty.
The first water bottle I bought was the Camelbak Pictured below. I do like that has a straw because I prefer water bottles with straws. However what I did not like about this water bottle was that you had to bite down on the nipple and overtime it did hurt my mouth. Also the nipple was very hard to clean, and so mold started growing it. That was disgusting so I no longer uses water bottle. In fact I realize I should just throw it away
The next water bottle that I bought was this one. The Contigo. What I like about this one is the lower part of the water bottle comes apart and so you can add fruit to infuse your water. I love using this one in the spring when the berries are in season and I make blackberry and mint infused, water etc.
The next “it” water bottle is the BKR water bottle. I like this one because it is dishwasher safe. It is glass but it is surrounded by a silicone wrap so it is safe. I do like this water bottle a lot, however other mentioned before I like water bottles and straws better so this is not “the perfect” water bottle.
The S’well water bottles are also very popular. They are double insulated so they keep your water cooled for 24 hours or warm for 12 hours. They really do keep your water cool, I had ice in them and lasts almost 24 hours! What I don’t like about this one is that they are not dishwasher safe and they are a little hard to clean
This hot pink water bottle is the newest one in my collection, The Hydro flask. I like the extra silicone sleeve for the bottom so it doesn’t make sounds when it goes on the counter or table. It’s easier to clean as well. I don’t like that it is not dishwasher safe, but it is also double insulated. I purchased a different top for this water bottle which has a straw and so currently this is actually my favorite water bottle. It is not perfect but I’m still searching for the perfect water bottle but this one is getting close! If you are interested, this is the lid that I bought and this is the silicone sleeve I bought. The wide mouth bottle is also extremely popular, but it doesn’t fit in my car’s drink holder so I didn’t buy it.
My dream water bottle would be… dishwasher safe, keeps water cool for a long time (doesn’t have to be 24 hours, but I’ll take 12), has a straw that is leakproof, and is easy to clean.
Love this list of water bottles! My sister loves her Hydro-flask. I may have to look into getting one!
I too have had a hard time finding the perfect water bottle! You would think it would exist somewhere! (I don’t see your TFT post this week….I’m number 64-66….)
