Welcome to the haunted apothecary!

You can pick your potions or brew your own! Make sure you have your wand and cauldron ready!

The cauldron is heated up for you already on the fire.

You may use your standard potion making book – follow the instructions carefully.

For my mantel I made all of my own potion bottles. It was a fun project using my imagination!

I was inspired by Harry Potter for this mantle, as you may be able to tell by the “fantastic beasts book”, the wand (from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter), and some of the names of the ingredients in my potion bottles.

Not all Halloween decor has to be grotesque, as I’ve demonstrated here with this mantle!

Below are the apothecary labels I made. You are welcome to download them and use them for yourself if you would like.

To make the potion bottles, I used the labels below. I printed them on standard printer paper. I then soaked the paper in black tea (make a pot of black tea, pour it into a casserole dish, and then put the paper in.). Let them soak for about 10 minutes, or until you get the desired color. Using Modge Podge, I attached them to the bottles. I filled the bottles with clear Elmer’s glue and various glitters, food dye, and things I found around the house.
