Happy Thanksgiving! Joining many of my blogging friends for the We Gather Together Thanksgiving Blog Hop! If you are coming from, Calypso In The Country, welcome!
I love setting the Thanksgiving table mainly because I love the Woodland Spode dinner plates! This year I used tartan chargers (you can get them here) and tartan napkins and I love how it turned out!
I used pinecones that we picked up from some various hikes in the mountains – let me tell you about these! To get all of the spiders and bugs out of them you have to roast them in the oven! Oh the smell was horrific! I am never doing that again! But they do look good, don’t they!
My favorite part about the Woodland Spode plates is that they have so many different dinner plates – we tried to purchase all of them, no, really! We have scoured estate sales, eBay, HomeGoods looking for them! Yes it is a lot! We did not buy any fish plates though, as fish didn’t seem very Thanksgiving like to us.
Mr. Fox is one of my favorite plates.
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. This year we are going to do something different… Mexican food. We always host Thanksgiving AFTER Thanksgiving, usually that Saturday. So we thought, well by the time people come visit us, this is their THIRD Thanksgiving. Maybe people are sick of Turkey and potatoes? So we’re trying something new this year. We will see how it goes!
Of course I still want pecan pie and my favorite appetizer…
Spread the love and visit these wonderful other bloggers sharing their Thanksgiving tables! Next in the hop is, Thistle Key Lane!

Such a gorgeous holiday table Angelina, I love the idea of mixing the Spode Woodland pieces with the red Tartan plaid. it’s the best of Thanksgiving AND Christmas!
What a beautiful table! And I am a huge fan of plaid, especially this time of year. I love your plan for the menu this year too. The pine cones are perfect for fall and winter …who knew about roasting them first?!! Great hopping with you!

Absolutely gorgeous Angelina! You know I love tartan, transferware, plaid, all things French and Thanksgiving so this post is perfection! Your dining room looks amazing and festive with all the Thanksgiving touches. Those plates and chargers would work for Christmas too.
Yeah…those pine cones…that’s why I only enjoy foraged decor on Pinterest!
Sometimes my dad has to come a few days before or after Thanksgivong so we do a big Mexican meal tooIt is so easy and fun and keeps things less stressful.
Great post and puts me in a wonderful holiday mood. By the way, I featured your flocked tree post at TFT this past week.
Thanks for joining the hop! Have a happy Thanksgiving!
Gorgeous. Your Fox dishes are amazing and I adore that turkey and those pheasants. Such a beautiful table.
I’d love to find some of those plates! They are beautiful and definitely worthy of scouring all the stores! Your entire table looks amazing and so inviting. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I have always love Spode Woodland dishes and they seem perfect to use for Thanksgiving. Mexican served for Thanksgiving a few days later will most likely be a welcome change for your guests who are on their third Thanksgiving celebration. Reading about the smell when baking pinecones reminded me of when I did that one time. Stinky!
Angelina, your table is beautiful! I love the Spode Woodland China. It is one of my favorites! The plaid looks so pretty paired with it. Plaid is really popular this year, and I love it! I hope you have a happy Thanksgiving, Sweet friend!
Lovely inspiration and ideas, Angelina… I’ve been hearing a lot lately about Spode. Never had heard of the maker before! Pinned! Fun doing the hop with you!
What a gorgeous tablescape! I adore tartan and the foxes are a fabulous touch.
Angelina, you are a girl after my own heart, having a peak of Christmas while celebrating Thanksgiving! I love the look of the tartan plaid chargers with the Spode (and yes, that fox is quite the handsome guy!). I am so crazy for tartan, and this extends its usefulness! Your idea of Mexican would sound good for me for the first Thanksgiving meal, let alone the third. Please don’t judge, but I am not a fan of turkey! Your home looks beautiful with the wild game birds on the table and the Santas on the mantel behind. Happy Thanksmas!
Gorgeous table my friend, the tartan plaid and spode, gorgeous! You know I think you have a beautiful home and this table is perfect.I’m happy to be hopping along with you, pinned. Hugs!
Angelina, I would have never thought of a tartan plaid for Thanksgiving — and I love the look the how beautiful your table came out! My Scottish Highland Terrier would definitely approve. Between having a Scottie dog and loving tartan patterns, I go a “little mad for plaid” at Christmas. Your table is a nice bridge between both seasons.
Such a gorgeous table for Thanksgiving! Those pinecones are a treasure and I love the dishes with the foxes. Your turkey and pheasants make a stunning centerpiece!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Angelina, those dishes are just divine! I love them with the plaid chargers and napkins! It really transcends to Christmas nicely. Always love to get a peek into your beautiful home! Happy Thanksgiving!
I love the Woodland and plaid combination on your tablescape. The whole table is so pretty and works for Thanksgiving and beyond. Hope the Mexican food is a big hit. I know I would love it!
Angelina, it all looks so lovely and ready for Thanksgiving! I love the giant turkey and other ceramics on your table. I have a family member who collects Woodland Spode, so I know all about it! I think we’ve gifted pieces to her in the past, too. I would never have thought to pair them with tartan. It looks great! By the way, I think we own the same exact table! Happy Thanksgiving!
Your table is stunning! You always pay such attention to detail. Smitten with that turkey centerpiece!https://www.petitehaus.com/2019/11/a-tartan-thanksgiving-table.html
I love, love this! The Spode Woodland is one of my biggest wish list items and I love how you layered it with the plaid! Love your pheasants and turkey and the pine cones! I think they were worth the yucky smell! It’s gorgeous!
